Quy Nhon University’s Second Quarter, 2022 News Review has the following top news and major events:
11 lecturers of Quy Nhon University were honored at the 4th "Outstanding Intellectuals of Binh Dinh Science and Technology 2022" Honoring Ceremony.
These lecturers recorded excellent achievements in scientific research, were conferred the title “Outstanding Teachers” or met the standards for the title of professor, associate professor in the past year. This is the result of a process of striving and tireless effort of the individuals in training and scientific research. It is also the University’s proud achievement.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My affirmed that “the University is committed to upholding the local authorities’ policies, ready to implement the development orientations of the locality and responsible for connecting with experts, both at home and abroad, who provide consultation on the socio-economic development of Binh Dinh province”.
On the occasion of the business trip on professional training in inspection and examination of the High School Graduation examination in 2022, on the morning of June 14, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong had a meeting with the leaders of Quy Nhon University.
With the achievements recorded in the past time, the Deputy Minister believed that the University would continue to affirm its prestige with a comprehensive development orientation saying that the University needed to focus on improving the quality of training and scientific research; develop Science and Technology Journal; promote national and international scientific publication in order to help make positive contributions to the development of science education and pedagogy of the country.
In April 2022, Quy Nhon University signed a cooperation agreement with the Delegation of Yongsan District and Jeonbuk National University (Seoul, South Korea).
Under the agreement, the two parties will continue to improve the effectiveness of practical training and internship activities, strengthen cultural exchange activities between students of Quy Nhon University and Jeonbuk National University. This will help contribute to promoting cooperation and development between Quy Nhon City and Yongsan District.
In order to prepare for the official implementation of Phase 1 of the program from September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2027 and create the best premise for the implementation of the IUC Program in the next 10 years, the Conference "IUC – Quy Nhon University partnership and networking with partners and local authorities in the South Central Region and Central Highlands" was held at Quy Nhon University in May 2022. The conference is an opportunity for the University to introduce the IUC - QNU Program to the community and connect with partners, local authorities in the South Central region and Central Highlands.
Quy Nhon University's international cooperation activities are expanding and developing steadily, actively serving to improve the quality of training and research. Until now, the University has implemented 23 international cooperation agreements with partners in Asia and Europe. In the 2021-2022 academic year, the University has proposed 3 international projects within the framework of the Erasmus+ program sponsored by the European Community.
Many job opportunities for Quy Nhon University students in foreign enterprises
On June 10, Mr. Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE Group (Germany) paid a working visit to the University on the offshore wind power project expected to be deployed in Binh Dinh in the near future. Mr. Markus said that wind turbines were expected to be placed on some islands and in the waters in Phu Cat and Phu My districts. This project not only helps to increase the province's electricity output, but also contributes to the upgrading of seaport infrastructure, industrial development, creating job opportunities for Quy Nhon University students in particular and local residents in general.
On June 20, Mr. Nguyen Minh Liem - Director of INAMSOfT and Mr. Hideki Maso - Deputy Director of Inforgram had a meeting with the University's leaders on the Training Program for students proficient in Japanese and IT students. Based on the existing background knowledge, the program will train and provide students with practical skills so that they can have the opportunity to approach how to work as well as find jobs at small- and medium-size enterprises in Japan.
Job Opportunities at Kurz Corporation for Quy Nhon University graduates. With an investment of about 40 million USD, Phase 1 of the Kurz factory project is expected to be completed and put into operation in the third quarter of 2023. Quy Nhon University is a partner in training high-tech human resources for the Kurz Corporation in many fields such as Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Automotive and Electronic Engineering.
Nearly 2,000 jobs for QNU students at Job Fair 2022
30 enterprises participated in the event and recruited candidates in many different career fields, which helped students have the opportunity to contact, show their own capacity and find job opportunities. The event is an annual activity aimed at realizing the University's goals and strategies in career orientation, capacity building, job placement for students, continuing to strengthen cooperation between the University and enterprises.
Also at this festival, Quy Nhon University also gave more in-depth advice to final year students on its admissions policy on Master's programs. Notably, from 2022, there will be many new changes in the admissions method to create favorable conditions for candidates who wish to enroll in master's programs at the University.

For part-time undergraduate programs: in 2022, Quy Nhon University has offered 5 programs with 140 students with the admissions method of measuring candidates’ last-year academic results.
For college-to-university joint programs, Quy Nhon University has offered 26 programs with 1,222 students with the admissions method of measuring candidates’ academic results.
