ICT - On the morning of June 21, Quy Nhon University (QNU) in collaboration with the Center for Education Accreditation - the University of Danang (CEA - UD) held a ceremony to award the certificate of education quality standards (Cycle 2) to QNU and its Master’s programs in Accounting and Solid-state Physics. This is an important event, affirming QNU’s reputation for quality of training in Vietnam’s education system.

“QNU is one of the universities with a high proportion of externally evaluated and recognized training programs that meet quality standards” - remarked Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Giao - Director of Center for Education and Training - UD at the ceremony. 

He added that QNU had continuously implemented quality accreditation activities for educational institutions and did not leave interruptions between two accreditation cycles, which showed that QNU was always interested in and continuously improved the quality of training, ensuring the provision of quality human resources for society.

Dr. Le My Phong - Deputy Director of the Quality Management Department, Ministry of Education and Training congratulated QNU’s achievements in quality accreditation, and recommended that on the basis of the recommendations of the Quality Accreditation Council, QNU should overcome the limitations and better promote its strengths to ensure the sustainability of the goals of quality management and integration.

Prof.Dr. Bui Van Ga - Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training highly appreciated the training activities, scientific research, administration and quality accreditation of QNU, and expressed the hope that QNU would continue to pay attention to the work of quality accreditation to gradually improve its ranking.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU thanked the Education Accreditation Center (University of Da Nang) for their serious and responsible work and their practical recommendations, saying that the recommendations would serve as the basis for QNU to make plans to improve the quality of its training in line with the conditions of autonomy, vision and development strategy of the University. At the same time, he also acknowledged the continuous contributions and efforts of the University's leaders, officials, employees, learners of the University and enterprises that had accompanied the University in recent times, emphasizing that the result was the University's commitment to society in terms of quality in education and training.

Up to now, QNU’s 14 training programs at all levels have been granted certificates of education accreditation by the Ministry of Education and Training. In addition, the University has also completed the self-assessment of 05 training programs and has 02 training programs registered for accreditation according to AUN-QA Version 4.0.

Previously, QNU had been recognized by the Vietnam Education Quality Assessment System (UPM) and achieved a 4-star standard of application-oriented standards. In 2023, QNU ranked 18th in the TOP 100 universities in Vietnam by Vietnam's University Rankings (VNUR). It is currently an associate member of AUN-QA (Asian University Network - Quality Assurance).

The results of education accreditation of QNU (Cycle 2) and education accreditation of its training programs are considered as an important basis for assessing its training capacity, scientific research, innovation and as the basis for the building of QNU into a multi-disciplinary, multi-field, application-oriented university of high reputation, meeting the quality standards of Southeast Asia and having an important position related to cooperation in training, research, academic and cultural exchange, both at home and abroad.
