ICT – On the morning of March 29, Quy Nhon University (QNU) was honored to welcome Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung and the delegation to the University. At this event, QNU and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) carried out a pilot transfer of QNU S-Link.

Speaking at the event, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - QNU Rector, said that in the past academic year, QNU had recorded many remarkable achievements in all fields. He emphasized that QNU leaders were fully aware that digital transformation had made an impact on the global revolution and it was considered a breakthrough solution, and it was for this reason that QNU had paid much attention to digital transformation. He added that QNU had approached the field of Applied Data Science since 2018 and used digital transformation as the foundation for its training, research, and human resource development.
The event was an opportunity for QNU to exchange information about digital transformation and further develop its information and communication technology system according to social innovations.
Determining to build Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh) into a scientific city and an IA center is the right direction. Take the lead.
That was Minister Nguyen Manh Hung’s words of encouragement uttered at the meeting with QNU leaders, lecturers and students. He said that to build Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh) into a city of science, innovation and an AI center, the local authorities had to apply science and technology, and give priority to using products of science, technology and innovation, which helped make a push to go ahead and set an example to neighboring localities.

Speaking at the event, the experts, lecturers, and students presented many opinions as to the development of human resources in Central Vietnam with a view to attracting investment in high technology, promoting digital transformation, and developing access applications that bring solutions to related fields of study; the limitations of the digital infrastructure network in schools, a lack of synchronization or connection on a large scale as well as the application development orientation to help support access and research of land databases and cooperation programs with Laos.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung acknowledged and answered questions and agreed that many IT applications work well but the level of connection and data synchronization between units was still limited. To promote digital transformation, the Minister emphasized that those in charge had to put more effort into connecting and synchronizing data and building many programs, applications, information technology to develop digital transformation.
Pilot transfer of QNU S-Link
On this occasion, a pilot transfer of QNU S-Link was carried out by PTIT and QNU. It is expected that after completion and operation, QNU S-Link will support training management and provide QNU students with assistance in their studies, contributing to implementing the digital transformation policy; meeting QNU's goal of becoming a digital university. It is known that PTIT S-Link is a mobile application that operates on two popular operating systems: iOS and Android, and can also be logged in using the website on the computer. Therefore, QNU expects to follow the above development direction to optimize the personalized learning management experience.

The launch of QNU S-Link will not only act as an online bridge between QNU, students, their parents but also create favorable conditions for university candidates and their families to get access to updated information about QNU’s admissions policy and procedures.
The Minister was accompanied by Mr Bui Hoang Phuong - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Mr Lam Hai Giang - Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Province People's Committee; Representatives of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, National Digital Transformation Agency, the Department of Environmental Science and Technology, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, TMA Solutions, the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education and relevant departments.
The delegation was received by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - QNU Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoan - Chairman of the University Council, Vice Rectors, Chairman of the University Union, Chief of the Party - Unions Office, Secretary of Youth Union, President of Students, heads of some of the offices, the faculties and more than 400 QNU students.
