ICT - In the happy atmosphere of the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022), with the fine tradition of "Respecting Teachers", on the morning of November 18, Quy Nhon University (QNU) celebrated the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day. The ceremony was an opportunity for generations of learners to express their gratitude to QNU’s lecturers, officials and employees, who had made a great contribution to its training and education.

At the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU made a speech mentioning the fine tradition of Vietnames Teachers' Day and some outstanding achievemnts recorded by the University, commending and acknowledging the great contributions made by a lot of generations of lecturers, officials and employees to the development of the University in particular and the education sector in general over the past 40 years. On the basis of the meaning of Vietnam Teachers' Day, he called on QNU’s lecturers to foster the sense of responsibility, the spirit of innovation, creativity, solidarity to successfully fulfill the tasks, making a worthy contribution to the goal and mission of teaching and training of the University, especially the key tasks set in the academic year 2022 - 2023, an academic year that marked 45 years of construction and development of QNU.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, offered his congratulations, acknowledged and praised the achievements and contributions of generations of lecturers who had made a great contribution to the development of the University, saying that Binh Dinh province was implementing a strategy to promote the socio-economic development, so it was in great need of high-quality human resources. He expressed the hope that, in the coming time, the lecturers and scientists of QNU would join hands with the province to promote its advantages for the socio-economic development.

At the ceremony, Outstanding Teacher.Dr. Nguyen Minh Chau - Former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Rector of QNU, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Former Teachers, on behalf of former lecturers, sent his congratulations to generations of lecturers, officials and employees on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and expressed pride in the cause of education of QNU.

On this occasion, QNU’s leadership awarded the Certificate of Professorial Title to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Vien, a senior lecturer of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and the Certificate of Associate Professorial Title to Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Loan, lecturer of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. At the same time, they also honored Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Thanh Duc and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Thai Thuan Quang for being awarded the title “Outstading Teacher” by the President in 2021.

After 45 years of construction and development, formerly known as a teacher training institution, QNU has become a multi-disciplinary university with more than 500 lecturers, 45% of whom lecturers are professors, associate professors, and doctors. This is a key factor that helps to affirm QNU's position in Vietnam’s education system.
