HCTH - Reaffirming its role as a regional hub for research and innovation, Quy Nhon University will host the 8th Vietnam International Conference and Exhibition on Control and Automation (VCCA) from July 16 to 18, 2026. As one of Vietnam’s and the region’s leading science and technology forums, the event will bring together scientists, experts, businesses, and policymakers to share new research achievements, strengthen international cooperation, and promote technology transfer in support of socio-economic development.
Notably, VCCA 2026 will be held under the theme “Intelligent Automation: A Strategic Technology for the Digital Era,” highlighting the central role of automation, artificial intelligence, and intelligent systems in digital transformation and modern industrial development.

An International Academic Forum for the Industry 4.0 Era
As the Fourth Industrial Revolution profoundly reshapes production and governance around the world, VCCA 2026 is being organized as an open international academic forum that will showcase the latest research achievements in control engineering, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, intelligent systems, and advanced digital technologies.
Beyond providing a venue for the presentation of research findings, the conference will create an environment in which scientists, businesses, and public-sector agencies can exchange ideas, build connections, and identify technological solutions for socio-economic development. It will also serve as an important bridge among government, researchers, and businesses—helping to advance technology transfer, the commercialization of research outcomes, and the development of an innovation ecosystem for the digital age.
With this orientation, VCCA 2026 will extend beyond the scope of a conventional scientific conference to become a forum linking academia, technology, policy, and the marketplace, opening up broad opportunities for research collaboration, investment, and high-quality human resource development.
Bringing Together Domestic and International Experts
VCCA 2026 is expected to welcome leaders of central ministries and agencies; representatives of the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee; research institutes, universities, and technology enterprises; and a large number of experts and scientists from Vietnam and abroad. Professional associations, international organizations, and media agencies will also take part, creating a multidimensional forum for dialogue among academia, industry, and policymakers.
Over the three-day event, a large-scale programme of academic and technology activities will be held, with key highlights including:
An International Plenary Session bringing together speakers from Russia, Taiwan (China), and Japan, alongside leaders of Gia Lai Province, to explore future-shaping technology trends such as digital twins, embodied intelligence, next-generation robotics, and intelligent control systems.
An International Scientific Conference featuring 22 specialized sessions and hundreds of research papers in intelligent control, industrial robotics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), sensor systems, intelligent transportation, renewable energy, and technological applications in agriculture, biomedicine, the environment, and national defence.
A Business and Policy Forum focusing on intelligent-technology trends, innovation, the development of robotics and drone ecosystems, green transition, renewable energy, and workforce development strategies for the Central and Central Highlands regions.
Networking and Investment Promotion Dialogues providing a meeting space for scientists, businesses, and local authorities to advance research collaboration, technology transfer, the commercialization of scientific products, and university–industry partnership models.
A Technology Exhibition and Side Events showcasing new technological products and solutions, the VCCA 2026–AT Expo 2026 exhibition space, and outstanding local One Commune One Product (OCOP) products—helping to connect research with production and markets.
Affirming QNU’s Organizational Capacity
As the host institution for VCCA for the first time, Quy Nhon University has made comprehensive preparations in facilities, technical infrastructure, conference venues, logistics, and communications to meet the standards of an international scientific conference.
The University is also working closely with the Vietnam Automation Association, the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, and co-organizing partners to deliver the event in a coordinated, professional, and effective manner. Hosting VCCA 2026 not only demonstrates QNU’s capacity to organize large-scale academic events, but also reflects its increasingly prominent standing in Vietnam’s higher education and scientific research network.
Advancing Innovation and International Cooperation
With its international scope and wide-ranging technical content, VCCA 2026 is expected to become an influential academic forum in control and automation, contributing to digital transformation, smart industrial development, and expanded international cooperation.
More importantly, the conference will help connect research with real-world practice, universities with businesses, and higher education institutions with local communities. In doing so, it will advance technology transfer, high-quality workforce development, and the formation of an innovation ecosystem serving socio-economic development in an era of international integration and digital transformation. It is also an opportunity for Quy Nhon University and Gia Lai Province to affirm their role as a destination for science, technology, and innovation activities in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
