More than a ticket to the semifinals, the QNU team’s achievement is evidence of the success of the learner-centred educational approach that the University has consistently pursued. By closely integrating academic knowledge, practical skills, and labour-market demands, Quy Nhon University fosters a dynamic learning environment that encourages students to explore proactively, innovate, and apply their knowledge to solve practical problems.
Through practice-based courses, scientific research activities, academic competitions, and enterprise immersion programmes, students develop critical thinking, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills. They also strengthen their capacity to apply digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) in learning and in addressing challenges in finance, investment, management, logistics, and business. These are precisely the core capabilities increasingly demanded by the labour market amid deepening digital transformation and international integration.
Behind this competition success lies the persistent journey of QNU students, driven by a passion for learning, the resolve to overcome challenges, and the aspiration to prove themselves on a nationwide academic stage. Each round is not only an opportunity to test their disciplinary knowledge, but also an environment in which team members build confidence, teamwork skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to turn classroom knowledge into a competitive advantage in practice.
The team is mentored by Dr. Phan Thi Quoc Huong, a lecturer in the Faculty of Finance, Banking and Business Administration at Quy Nhon University. The team comprises three students: Dang Huu Loi (Corporate Finance, Cohort 46), Tran Minh Tu Nhi (Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Cohort 46), and Nguyen Sanh Loi (Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Cohort 47). With thorough preparation, strong team spirit, and high determination, they demonstrated confidence, effective coordination, and composure in the face of the competition’s challenges—further projecting the image of QNU students as dynamic, creative, and ready for international integration.
An Academic Arena Where Knowledge Is Tested in Real-World Contexts
Now in its third season, “Vu Tru Dong Tien 2026” is being held on its largest scale to date, bringing together 54 universities and academies from across the country. Under the theme “BIGbang DATA,” the competition seeks to harness the power of data in the digital economy and emphasizes the role of data analytics in modern financial, investment, business, and management decisions. Scheduled to run from March to November 2026, it includes institutional casting, national casting, quarterfinal, semifinal, and final rounds to identify the strongest team.
More than an academic competition in finance, “Vu Tru Dong Tien 2026” is designed as a practical learning environment that helps students develop digital-finance thinking, data-analysis capabilities, decision-making skills, and adaptability to the evolving demands of the digital economy. Through each round, contestants engage with simulations closely aligned with business realities, sharpening strategic thinking, teamwork, and data-driven problem-solving skills.
The national casting rounds were held in the Northern and Central regions, attracting tens of thousands of students from higher education institutions and academies across the country. Competitors from diverse fields—including finance, banking, economics, law, logistics, tourism, and public security—created an interdisciplinary arena in which teams competed not only in specialist knowledge, but also in innovative thinking, adaptability, and multidimensional perspectives on pressing socio-economic issues.
Against this backdrop, the Quy Nhon University team made its mark through the complementary blend of its academic disciplines. The three members from Finance and Logistics and Supply Chain Management drew on the strengths of their respective fields to form an interdisciplinary team that supported one another in tackling the competition’s challenges. By combining financial thinking, data analysis, and supply-chain management perspectives, the team was able to approach real-world problems more comprehensively while demonstrating the ability to apply multidisciplinary knowledge—an essential quality of high-calibre talent in the digital era.
Reaching the semifinals, therefore, is not only the result of the team’s thorough preparation and unity; it also affirms the quality of QNU’s education in equipping students with the capacity for international integration, innovative thinking, and the adaptability needed to meet the increasingly exacting demands of a knowledge-based economy.
“We Will Give Our All to Conquer the Semifinals”
Speaking about the road ahead, Dang Huu Loi, a Cohort 46 Finance and Banking student and the QNU team’s representative, shared: “Earning a place in the semifinals of the ‘Vu Tru Dong Tien 2026’ Competition is a source of pride, but it is also a major challenge for us.
