ICT - On December 21, 2023, Dr. Gerald Feldman and Dr. Samer Bamansoor - Representatives of Birmingham City University (BCU), (United Kingdom) and representative of British Academy International Joint Stock Company paid a working visit to Quy Nhon University (QNU) on international joint training programs.
BCU is the second largest public higher education institution in the UK, with nearly 200 years of history and over 25,000 students from more than 80 countries around the world enrolling in undergraduate to doctoral programs. Appreciating BCU's interest in training cooperation with QNU, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU, expressed the hope that the two sides would have positive exchanges in training cooperation according to international standards.

At the meeting, the two parties discussed training cooperation in programs of Business and Information Technology. After the meeting, the delegation went on a tour of QNU’s campus, facilities, multi-purpose classrooms, practice rooms and testing center.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Gerald Feldman gave a brief overview of BCU’s key programs such as information technology and international business. He said that the joint programs, specially designed and based on BCU's undergraduate programs, would be structured with and professional, practical, up-to-date, and international programs, adding that importance would be placed on creative thinking and teamwork to meet the increasing requirements of the labor market.
In time to come, the two sides will jointly offer two 3.5-year programs in Information Technology and Computing and Corporate Finance, whose degree is granted by BCU. The two sides are expected to submit their project to the Ministry of Education and Training for approval in April and begin enrolling candidates for the first course in September 2024.
