DLR - On the afternoon of April 22, Quy Nhon University signed a cooperation agreement with the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City to launch Korean language classes for organizations and individuals in need, starting in 2025. The signing ceremony marked the outcome of discussions and collaboration between the two sides held on March 20, 2025. This partnership paves the way for free, in-depth Korean language training for students, university staff, and residents of Quy Nhon City.
Previously, on March 20, 2025, Quy Nhon University and the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City held a working session to explore potential collaboration. The two parties discussed cooperation opportunities, joint initiatives, and outlined directions for Korean language education, cultural exchange, and strengthening ties between the university and the Korean Language Center.

During the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Duc Tung – Rector of Quy Nhon University – shared that after a period of discussion, the university fully agreed with the proposed terms of cooperation. He emphasized that this collaboration between QNU and the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City presents a valuable opportunity for both Quy Nhon residents and QNU learners to enhance their Korean language proficiency.
Associate Professor Tung also expressed his hope that this partnership would help spread Korean culture among the university’s students. He further affirmed the university’s commitment to promoting Korean language education in particular, and strengthening overall cooperation between QNU and the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Kil Ho Jin, Director of the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City, informed the university leadership that he had shared news of the partnership with the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Education and Training), the Consulate General of Korea, and the Korean Ministry of Education. Based on this foundation, Mr. Kil Ho Jin expressed his hope that the Korean language training program would exceed expectations. He also warmly welcomed the promotion of Korean culture in Quy Nhon, particularly at Quy Nhon University, through this language education initiative.
With a team consisting of both Vietnamese and Korean staff, Mr. Kil Ho Jin affirmed his commitment to working closely with the university. Depending on future opportunities and favorable conditions, the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City also plans to propose additional activities and programs to further strengthen the collaboration between the two institutions.

Associate Professor Dr. Doan Duc Tung and Mr. Kil Ho Jin signed the memorandum of agreement to implement free Korean language classes at QNU
Following discussions on the direction of their collaboration, both parties reached a consensus and officially signed a cooperation agreement to launch free Korean language classes at Quy Nhon University. These classes are open to all interested individuals in Quy Nhon City, including university staff and students. Each class will accommodate 20 to 30 learners and will be held twice a week according to a schedule arranged by the university. In addition to the language courses, the two sides will jointly organize cultural exchange activities in the near future, creating more opportunities for students to engage with and experience Korean language and culture.
This cooperation agreement serves as a meaningful bridge, allowing university staff, students, and local residents in Quy Nhon who are passionate about the Korean language to access both the language and Korean culture in a more approachable and effective way.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Kil Ho Jin, Director of the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City, along with staff members from the center.
