DLR - In Semester I of the 2025–2026 academic year, Quy Nhon University (QNU) marked a successful semester with concrete achievements across key areas. These results reaffirm the University’s determination to enhance training quality and academic capacity, while laying important groundwork for proactively implementing major tasks in Semester II with a spirit of innovation and sustainable development.
On the morning of 6 February 2026, QNU held a ceremony to announce decisions and present certificates recognizing accredited academic programs, alongside a conference reviewing Semester I and rolling out key tasks for Semester II of the 2025–2026 academic year. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on outstanding outcomes in quality enhancement and faculty development, and to align directions and priorities for the next phase.
10 More QNU Programs Receive Quality Accreditation
At the event, QNU announced decisions and awarded certificates recognizing 10 undergraduate programs that meet national quality accreditation standards, including: Biology Teacher Education, History Teacher Education, Geography Teacher Education, Physics Teacher Education, Informatics Teacher Education, Civic Education, Law, Applied Mathematics, Natural Resources and Environmental Management, and Food Technology.

Leaders of the 10 accredited programs received quality accreditation certificates under MOET standards.
To date, the University has had 36 programs externally reviewed and recognized as meeting quality standards, including 28 undergraduate programs and 6 master’s programs accredited under Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) standards, as well as 2 undergraduate programs accredited under AUN-QA 4.0 standards. This outcome reflects a coordinated process of self-assessment and continuous quality improvement, supported by the responsible and committed participation of academic units, lecturers, and staff across the University.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, QNU continues external quality assessment for 12 programs under MOET standards issued in Circular No. 04/2025/TT-BGDĐT, and conducts external assessment for 3 programs under AUN-QA 4.0 standards. These efforts demonstrate the University’s strong commitment to ongoing innovation, training quality improvement, and deeper international integration in higher education.
Five more QNU lecturers were appointed to the title of Associate Professor in 2025
Continuing to make its mark in the strategy to enhance training quality and develop its academic workforce, QNU officially added 5 lecturers appointed to the title of Associate Professor in 2025, and recognized 7 educators who successfully defended doctoral dissertations in 2025. These achievements not only highlight the growing academic capacity of QNU’s faculty, but also reflect the effectiveness of a sustainable human resource development orientation that places quality at the core of long-term growth.

The University honored educators who successfully defended doctoral dissertations in 2025.
This is both a well-deserved recognition of persistent efforts in teaching, research, and high-quality human resource training, and a clear indicator of the University’s long-term investment in staff development. To date, the proportion of QNU lecturers holding a doctoral degree or higher has reached 51.9%. Increasing the number of Associate Professors and PhD-qualified lecturers contributes to building a highly specialized faculty with strong research and academic capacity—directly strengthening academic programs, science and technology activities, and learner supervision across training levels, while also supporting expanded academic collaboration and reinforcing QNU’s reputation within Vietnam’s higher education system.
QNU Reviews First-Semester Results and Rolls Out Key Tasks for Semester II of the 2025–2026 Academic Year.
At the Conference on the Semester I Review and the Deployment of Key Tasks for Semester II of the 2025–2026 Academic Year, Dr. Ngo Anh Tu — Head of the Administrative and General Affairs Office — conducted a preliminary review of the implementation of tasks in Semester I of the 2025–2026 Academic Year, providing a comprehensive assessment of the results achieved across the areas of training, scientific research, quality assurance, management, and community service, while also identifying the shortcomings and limitations that need to be further addressed in the period ahead.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đoàn Đức Tùng, Rector of QNU, discussed directions and sets key tasks for Semester II of the 2025–2026 academic year.
On that basis, the University outlined the orientations and key tasks for Semester II, focusing on: continuing to enhance the quality of training; stepping up accreditation work and improving degree programs; developing the academic staff; innovating teaching methods and assessment practices; advancing digital transformation; and improving the effectiveness of university governance.
Speaking at the Conference, the leadership of Quy Nhon University emphasized the need to promote a spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and determination among all staff members, lecturers, public employees, and workers, with a view to successfully fulfilling the set tasks and contributing to the sustainable development of QNU in the new period.

On this occasion, the University presented commendations to 9 collectives and 64 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the accreditation of degree programs, as well as to collectives and individuals who excellently fulfilled their duties in 2025, thereby recognizing their positive, dedicated, and responsible contributions to the process of building and spreading a culture of quality at Quy Nhon University."
