ICT - In the afternoon of June 25th, Associate Professor Dr. Đỗ Ngọc Mỹ, the university president, attended a conference aimed at promoting investment, trade, and tourism in Bình Định Province with Indian partners. The conference attracted participation from 40 Indian businesses operating in trade, investment, tourism, education, and healthcare sectors. This event marks a new milestone in cooperation between Bình Định Province and India, providing a valuable opportunity for businesses and local authorities to exchange information and explore potential collaboration opportunities.

During the conference, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, shared that he has had the opportunity to visit Quy Nhơn City several times and has observed its significant potential for developing both large and small industries across various sectors, including manufacturing. The Indian consulate stands ready to facilitate connections between Vietnamese businesses and leading Indian corporations in areas such as smart agriculture, aquaculture, infrastructure, information technology, healthcare, education, and many others. He emphasized the consulate's commitment to continuing its role as a bridge for the business communities of both countries, fostering smoother trade activities and attracting investments from diverse sectors of India into Vietnam.

At the event, representatives from major Indian investors introduced several sectors in which they are eager to collaborate and invest in Vietnam and Bình Định Province. Mr. Payyaula Sai Venkat Kisshan, President of the Indian Robotics Association, expressed a strong desire to partner with universities and research institutes in Vietnam to develop talent in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. “In advancing robotics and artificial intelligence, we aim to create products for both export and import into Vietnam. On behalf of the Indian Robotics Association, we are committed to engaging in responsible discussions leading to practical projects and collaborations. We hope to transfer knowledge and work together with Vietnamese universities to train personnel in artificial intelligence and robotics,” Mr. Kisshan stated.

On this occasion, Quy Nhon University and the Indian Robotics Association signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation. Under this agreement, QNU and the Indian Robotics Association will collaborate to support Vietnamese students in entrepreneurship within the fields of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence, as well as the exchange of human resources training.
Additionally, the event witnessed the signing of several memoranda of understanding between the People’s Committee of Bình Định Province and the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as collaborations between Bình Định associations and businesses and their Indian counterparts.
Attending the conference were Mr. Đỗ Thành Trung, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment; Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; and representatives from 40 Indian organizations, corporations, and businesses. On the provincial leadership side, attendees included Mr. Hồ Quốc Dũng, a member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; and Mr. Phạm Anh Tuấn, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, along with other members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.
