ICT - A good command of Japanese will bring Quy Nhon University (QNU) students many opportunities to study and work in a dynamic and competitive market.
Binh Dinh province is one of the few provinces in Vietnam that offers Japanese language programs in its high school curriculum. This is an opportunity for universities, including QNU. Since 2020, QNU has cooperated with J.TEST Vietnam to administer the Japanese language proficiency test for its students in particular and Japanese language learners in Binh Dinh and neighboring provinces in general. QNU has recognized its students’ results of the J.TEST test as a foreign language exit requirement if these results meet the required standards.
Promoting cooperation in the development of Japanese language teaching and learning
Within the framework of the Vietnam - Japan Development Cooperation Program between Vietnam and Japan, on the morning of August 17, QNU worked with the Vietnam-based Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to discuss the welcoming of a Japanese volunteer who would come to QNU to offer support for the teaching of Japanese language for a 2-year period.
Mr. Hanazato Nobuhiko (middle) - Senior Advisor of JICA's Volunteer Dispatch Program
Mr. Hanazato Nobuhiko - Senior Advisor of JICA's Japanese Volunteer Dispatch Program said that QNU was one of 16 universities in Vietnam selected by JICA to dispatch Japanese volunteers. JICA's Volunteer Program is aimed at supporting the improvement of QNU's Japanese language teaching capacity as well as the training of high quality Japanese human resources for the locality.
Ms. Ishima Junko expresses a wish to teach Japanese at QNU while working as a volunteer in Vietnam
Ms. Ishima Junko, JICA’s Japanese teaching volunteer used to teach Japanese to students at a high school in Quy Nhon City in 2018. During her volunteer trip this time, Ms. Ishima once again chose to come to Quy Nhon City to teach Japanese to QNU students of Japanese Studies (Oriental Studies) (Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities).
Mr Do Ngoc My highly appreciated JICA Vietnam's interest in QNU and expressed the hope that in the coming time, QNU would serve as a bridge between JICA, the Japanese government with Binh Dinh province and the other provinces in the region, contributing to the socio-economic development of these localities.
