1. Training objectives

The training program of The English Language offers theoretical, structural, practical knowledge of the English language, with advanced training of English translation and interpretation.
The goal of the program is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of language, culture, English language skills, i.e., listening, speaking, reading, writing. The program helps students to gain the ability of logical and critical thinking.
It introduces basic and advanced linguistic knowledge, English for specific purposes in the fields of economics, commerce, maritime, translation, interpretation, cultural and cross-cultural communication among English-speaking countries. The program also focuses on training students the skills and attitudes needed to formulate ideas, establish and operate vessel-operating procedures. The curriculum also prepares students to work in areas related to the use of English.

2. Career prospects
Bachelors of The English Language can undertake such positions as: interpreters, translaters; coordinators and officers working in state-management agencies from central to local levels, relevant ministries and branches of Vietnam, international economic organizations and enterprises of all economic sectors of Vietnam, European businesses and organizations, English-speaking countries; countries where English is the official language. They can also undertake tasks of IT project management of IT companies.
