NATURAL GEOGRAPHY
Natural geography is a subdivision of Geography that primarily operates in the field of systematization of models and processes that take place in the hydrosphere, biosphere, atmosphere and lithosphere. It is intended to help people understand the natural arrangements of the Earth, climate and its plants and animals system. Many areas of natural geography use the knowledge of geology, particularly in the study of weathering and erosion. Geology also studies other planets in the solar system.

1. Training objectives
• To train a contingent of Natural Geography researchers to serve the basic investigation as a scientific basis for the reasonable use and protection of natural resources and socio-economic development and directly participate in, consult and develop the work of territory planning.
2. Program Strengths
Students are provided with:
- background knowledge of natural resources management, environmental impact assessment, geographic information systems, sustainable development and technological applications to manage natural resources and environment, protect natural resources and improve economy and society.
- soft skills and scientific research skills.
3. Program Contents
- General knowledge: 22 credits
- Professional knowledge: 108 credits (including 7 credits of graduation theses)
+ Basic subjects: Natural geographic basis, General climate and hydrology, landscape and landscape ecology, remote sensing and GIS, climate change and disaster preventiona and urban geography, etc.
+ Specialized subjects: Fundamentals for territorial planning and organization, management of natural resources and environment, land and water resources, mineral and energy resources, GIS application in environmental resources management, environmental economics, forest ecology and forest management, natural resources valuation, design and management of environmental projects, etc.
- Skills accumulated: Formulate and develop the capacity of management consultancy and rational use of environmental resources for state management agencies and socio-economic organizations; Master modern research methods and technological procedures in research on natural resources and environment and in mapping, Geographic information system (GIS) - Remote Sensing and project planning procedures.
