Recently, TORmem Inc. (USA), in collaboration with Leap AI and Quy Nhon University, has successfully organized a foundational AI training program held simultaneously in Silicon Valley, Gia Lai, and Ho Chi Minh City. This course not only provided essential knowledge and hands-on skills in artificial intelligence but also represented a significant milestone in building technological capacity among students and young engineers in Central Vietnam.
Over four consecutive weeks, classes were held simultaneously on Saturday mornings in Vietnam and Friday evenings in the United States, reflecting the dedication and strong commitment of both instructors and students. The training program emphasized building a solid foundation in AI, combining practical scenarios with hands-on exercises and offering long-term development orientation in the fields of AI and large language models (LLMs). This approach enabled participants to systematically access technology and directly apply their knowledge to their work and everyday life.

Following the success of this course, TORmem and Leap AI will move into the next phase with plans to expand both practical and onsite training. The upcoming program will focus on delivering advanced AI lab sessions, utilizing a blended model of online and in-person instruction, and strengthening the teaching team with additional experts from Leap AI. Furthermore, the program aims to broaden access for high school students and local engineers, contributing to the development of a robust technological workforce in Central Vietnam.
Sharing about the significance of the training program, Mr. Nguyễn An Thạo – Founder and CEO of TORmem in Silicon Valley – emphasized: “Building AI capacity for Quy Nhon and Gia Lai is not merely a technical task, but also a way for me to contribute to my homeland. When we learn in a genuine way, work in a genuine way, and act in a genuine way, positive outcomes will come for our students, our province, and the future of Vietnam’s technology.” This message not only reflects the deep commitment of a tech founder to his roots, but also affirms a long-term orientation in developing AI talent and turning Central Vietnam into a new highlight on the country’s technology map.

The four week basic AI course has opened a new phase in the long term training roadmap. TORmem, Quy Nhon University, and local authorities aim to position Gia Lai as a national center for education in artificial intelligence and high technology, thereby promoting sustainable development and international integration for the Central region. This achievement not only creates new opportunities for students and young engineers, but also underscores a strategic vision to build a solid technological talent base, helping Central Vietnam emerge as a standout hub on Vietnam’s innovation landscape.
