DLR - In its journey of growth, innovation, and international integration, Quy Nhon University (QNU) has been reinforcing its reputation and educational quality through the accreditation of its academic programs, in accordance with both the international AUN-QA standards and Vietnam's national standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). This strategic move reflects the university's commitment to strengthening its academic role, expanding partnerships, and meeting the ever-increasing demands of society.

Achieving AUN-QA Accreditation - A Milestone in Regional Integration

Quy Nhon University has marked a significant milestone in its regional integration efforts, as two of its undergraduate programs - Economics and Business Administration, have officially earned accreditation under the AUN-QA 4.0 standards. These are prestigious quality benchmarks set by the ASEAN University Network.

Attaining AUN-QA 4.0 accreditation represents a major advancement that affirms QNU’s educational capacity within the context of regional academic integration. It is a strong testament to the university’s excellence in teaching and academic governance, while also paving the way for broader international cooperation, student exchange programs, and mutual credit recognition among ASEAN universities.

The accreditation of QNU’s undergraduate programs in Economics and Business Administration is a strong affirmation of the university’s growing presence on the Southeast Asian and international higher education map. Successfully meeting all the rigorous criteria of the AUN-QA framework is also a clear testament to QNU’s strategic and comprehensive investment in the training and development of its economics and business-related disciplines.

Representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Accounting; Faculty of Finance - Banking & Business Administration received the Certificate of AUN-QA 4.0 quality accreditation for the undergraduate programs of Economics and Business Administration.

These efforts have delivered tangible benefits to learners while addressing the increasing demands of the labor market, thereby reaffirming QNU’s role as a regional hub for high-quality education.

Affirming Quality through National MOET Standards

In parallel with international accreditation, QNU has also achieved significant milestones in national quality assurance, as set by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). In the 2024 - 2025 academic year, six academic programs were officially accredited, including: English Language Teacher Education and Tourism & Travel Services Management at the undergraduate level; and English Linguistics, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, and Data Science at the master’s level.

With these additions, the total number of QNU’s academic programs that have achieved national quality accreditation has risen to 24.

QNU has 6 more undergraduate and master's training programs that also meet the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).

In the current era of digital transformation, accreditation has become a mandatory requirement in the roadmap to improve the quality of higher education. More than just an evaluation process, accreditation enables institutions to conduct thorough self-assessments and drive continuous improvement in their academic offerings - aligning with their mission and strategic direction.

For learners, accreditation provides a trustworthy basis for selecting academic programs that are recognized by both society and employers. For universities, it presents a valuable opportunity to enhance their institutional reputation, improve competitiveness, and integrate more deeply into regional and international education systems.

At the certificate awarding ceremony, Dr. Phi Thi Nguyet Thanh - Deputy Director of the Thang Long Center for Education Quality Accreditation – emphasized: “The outcomes of the accreditation and quality assessment process reflect the University's accountability to stakeholders and society, while also affirming the growing reputation and standing of Quy Nhon University within Vietnam's higher education system. The University is currently undergoing external evaluation for 10 additional programs. By the end of 2025, it is expected that nearly 50% of QNU’s academic programs will be accredited, a highly commendable figure. I hope the University will continue to uphold and build upon this important work.”

QNU is currently updating and revising over 36 academic programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with the goal of evolving into a multi-disciplinary applied university that meets international standards.
