SP7 - IUC - On December 14, 2025, Quy Nhon University (QNU) held a seminar on waste sorting, household waste reduction, and organic waste treatment under Project No. 7 of the IUC–QNU Program. The activity contributes to strengthening appropriate waste management practices, moving toward a sustainable environment for learning and research.
The seminar was organized as a forum to exchange and share solutions for sorting and reducing household waste, while also proposing organic waste treatment options suited to actual conditions at QNU. The event attracted university staff, lecturers, postgraduate learners, students, and individuals interested in waste management and environmental protection. Through these discussions, the seminar helped raise awareness, promote source separation, and gradually shape an effective waste management model—improving campus landscape and the living and learning environment across the University.

Speakers presented technical and professional content at the seminar.
Presentations at the seminar provided an in - depth analysis of the current situation of waste sorting and treatment in a university setting, while also highlighting challenges in implementation at QNU. Many contributions focused on clarifying how source-separation models and organic waste treatment approaches could be applied in line with the University’s infrastructure, available space, and operational characteristics. These analyses helped identify feasible pathways to support research, piloting, and implementation in the coming period.
