(DLR) – Quy Nhon University has just concluded the official site visit for external quality assessment of 10 undergraduate programs - the largest number of programs ever evaluated at the University. This marks a significant milestone in the University’s quality enhancement journey, underscoring a firm commitment to comprehensive program improvement. With the support of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation - Vinh University, the review was conducted rigorously and holistically, leaving many positive impressions. The External Review Panel delivered a preliminary report on the findings, highlighting strengths and offering program-specific recommendations aligned with accreditation standards, thereby guiding the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance training quality.

From September 5 to 10, 2025, the External Review Team from the Center for Education Quality Accreditation - Vinh University conducted the official site visit at Quy Nhon University to evaluate 10 undergraduate programs: Biology Education, History Education, Geography Education, Physics Education, Informatics Education, Political Education, Law, Applied Mathematics, Natural Resources and Environment Management, and Food Technology.

During the visit, the External Review Team examined evidence dossiers, conducted on-site observations, and interviewed stakeholders.
The team comprised leading experts, led by People’s Teacher, Prof. Dr. Sci. Dang Ung Van as Chief Reviewer, with members from several reputable higher education institutions. The review activities were supervised by Dr. Nguyen Dinh Huy, M.A. Gian Hoang Anh, and Dr. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang from the Center for Education Quality Accreditation - Vinh University.

The Team presented a preliminary report of the findings, highlighting strengths and recommending improvements for each program.
During the site visit, the External Review Team examined dossiers and evidence; conducted on-site inspections of facilities; and worked with the University’s leadership, the Self-Assessment Council, and specialized working groups. In addition, the Team held in-person interviews with academic managers, employers, current students, and alumni to verify information and cross-check the contents of the University’s Self-Assessment Report in line with the program accreditation process.
At the closing session, the External Review Team presented a preliminary report on the findings, identifying strengths and recommending improvements for each program against the accreditation standards. All programs reviewed in this cycle received positive feedback and, at the same time, took on board valuable suggestions from the Team to further enhance training quality.

In his closing remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Tung, Rector of Quy Nhon University, expressed sincere gratitude to all members of the External Review Team for their contributions to the quality assurance process at the University. He affirmed that the Team’s observations and recommendations not only played a crucial role in making the academic programs more effective, but also drove the University’s overall development to better meet stakeholder needs.
The University looks forward to receiving multi-dimensional feedback from stakeholders and will study, incorporate, and formulate concrete improvement plans in response to the recommendations presented by the External Review Team. To achieve these outcomes, units across the institution worked in close and rigorous coordination, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility in preparing for and implementing the external review.

In the time ahead, the Center for Education Quality Accreditation - Vinh University will submit the official report and external assessment results for the 10 programs to Quy Nhon University. The official external review of 10 undergraduate programs was not only a quality assurance activity but also an opportunity for Quy Nhon University to reflect, evaluate, and chart a comprehensive and sustainable development pathway for its programs.
This was also the largest external review in QNU’s history in terms of the number of programs assessed, underscoring the University’s strong determination to enhance educational quality. With a spirit of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the University is committed to further elevating program quality to better meet the expectations of learners, employers, and society.
