DLR - In the journey of conquering global knowledge, Le Kien Thanh – a student of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Gia Lai) – stands as a vivid example of the aspirations of Vietnamese youth to reach new heights. With his remarkable achievement of winning the Gold Medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics 2025 (IOI 2025), he has made a strong mark on the world’s intellectual map.

To recognize and encourage his academic excellence, on the morning of August 11, Quy Nhon University attended a meeting and awarded a scholarship worth 50 million VND to Le Kien Thanh. This gesture not only honors his personal achievement but also reflects the University’s pioneering role in supporting the development of gifted education and information technology in the Central–Highlands region.

Le Kien Thanh has distinguished himself with an impressive track record of achievements at provincial, national, and international levels. His victory in securing the Gold Medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2025), surpassing hundreds of contestants from more than 90 countries, demonstrates not only his talent and determination but also the thorough preparation of Vietnamese students in the digital era.

Speaking at the ceremony, Le Kien Thanh expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of Gia Lai Province, Quy Nhon University, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, his teachers, family, and friends for their unwavering support in enabling him to pursue his passion. He shared: ‘No effort is ever wasted. I hope this medal will inspire young people to dream big and persevere in achieving their goals.
