ICT - On March 30, Quy Nhon University (QNU) had a meeting with two leading Israeli experts in architecture, Mr. Mattityahu Avshalomov, Mr. Eihab Fahoum and Mr. Nguyen Hai Linh - Chairman of Elisa Group to discuss the issues of cooperation and technology transfer.
The two Israeli experts and the Chairman of Elisa Group came to Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh) by invitation to attend the 2024 Binh Dinh Province Investment Promotion Conference. The conference took place on the afternoon of March 29 with the participation of more than 1,000 delegates including central leaders, representatives of the embassies of many countries and international organizations, business associations, investment promotion organizations, sponsors and nearly 500 domestic and foreign business persons.

On this occasion, Mr. Mattityahu Avshalomov, Mr. Eihab Fahoum and Mr. Nguyen Hai Linh came to QNU to discuss possibilities of potential cooperation in the fields of urban planning, architecture, and materials science, agriculture, etc., transfer some available modern technology from Israel to Vietnam or create technology on request with QNU acting as a bridge.
At the meeting Mr. Mattityahu Avshalomov emphasized that fostering cooperation with local businesses and organizations, including well-qualified higher education institutions in terms of investment was extremely important, saying that QNU was a potential entity. He added that QNU was an prestigious educational institution in the South Central Region and the Central Highlands of Vietnam and expressed the hope that the two sides could create cooperation to promote bilateral development based on the potential that both sides had.

“QNU always welcomes investors and businesses not only to QNU in particular, but also to Binh Dinh province in general. In addition to helping boost Binh Dinh’s tourism strength, QNU is determined to contribute to building Binh Dinh province into a center for scientific research and innovation. I believe that future cooperation between the two sides will be a driving force contributing substantially to that goal", said Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU.
Two Israeli experts interact with QNU lecturers and students
After the meeting, the two experts and QNU leaders go on a tour of the facilities and modern equipment at QNU's laboratories and practices. The two parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting this cooperation in the near future.
The expert delegation was received by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Duc Tung - Vice Rector, heads of the Research Affairs & International Relations, the Administration Office, the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and the Department of Egineering & Technology.
