ICT - On June 28th, Quy Nhon University welcomed and held discussions with Mr. Mori Takero, the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, during his official visit to Quy Nhon City.

Associate Professor Dr. Đỗ Ngọc Mỹ, the President of the University, expressed great pleasure in welcoming the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang for a meeting at Quy Nhon University. During the discussion, he highlighted the various collaborative activities between the university and Japanese partners, including Japanese language training, cultural exchanges, internship programs, and organizing conferences and workshops to provide students with information on studying abroad and job opportunities. The President noted that Japan is one of the strategic partners of Binh Dinh Province, presenting an excellent opportunity for the university to supply Japanese-speaking professionals to the labor market. Associate Professor Dr. Đỗ Ngọc Mỹ hopes that the Consul General will continue to promote and enhance the engagement of Japanese universities, businesses, and organizations with Quy Nhon University.

Mr. Mori Takero, the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, expressed his joy at commencing his tenure amidst the positive economic developments in Vietnam and the fruitful, friendly relations that have flourished between Vietnam and Japan over the past 50 years. Affirming that Vietnam is an important partner for Japan, the new Consul General praised the pivotal role of Quy Nhon University in fostering the strong relationship between the two countries, particularly through Japanese language training and cultural exchanges.
During the meeting, Mr. Mori Takero provided insights into various sectors involving Japanese organizations and businesses in Quy Nhon in the near future. 'As the Consul General, I will continue to enhance the collaborative relationship between the university and Japanese enterprises, organizing meaningful activities to introduce and connect Japanese partners for cooperation with the university,' he shared."
Leaders from various departments engaged in discussions and put forward several proposals during the meeting
During the meeting, representatives from the Japanese Language and Culture Center, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities proposed several initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of Japanese language training. They emphasized the importance of creating additional internship and employment opportunities for students, as well as fostering cultural exchange activities for the university's students in the near future.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Mori Takero expressed his gratitude for the insights shared by the university leaders and affirmed his commitment to assisting in providing more opportunities for Quy Nhon University students to engage, learn, and work with Japanese enterprises.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mori Takero, Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, and Ms. Tran Le Hanh Nhan, Consul General's Secretary. Representing the university were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Ngoc My, the Rector, along with leaders from various departments, including the Department of Science and Technology and International Cooperation, the Department of Administration and General Affairs, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Japanese Language and Culture Center. |
