E&A - On the first days of July, when the summer sun began to shine hot, and the wind blew hot, and when tough exams were over, it was also the time when the Youth Union members of the Inter-Youth Union of the Faculty of Economics & Accounting and the Faculty of Engineering & Technology took part in the "Green Summer 2023" campaign in Canh Hien Commune, Van Canh District, Binh Dinh Province. The campaign left more than 50 Youth Union members dubbed “blue shirt soldiers” with many memories.

In just 5 days (from July 1 to July 5, 2023), the blue shirt soldiers contributed positively to a lot of practical and meaningful works. The campaign left the participants with sweet memories but it was also a "semester" with countless valuable lessons.

Talking about the campaign, Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Thuy - Deputy Secretary of the Inter-Youth Union of Economics & Accounting said, “"Green Summer” for me is like a challenge in life, because there are many things that I have never experienced before and I've never done them. “Green Summer” is like an experience for myself. Taking part in this campaign, my friends and I can learn many useful things and enjoy ourselves. And most importantly, we can do something useful for the people here."
Youth songs joyfully sung by the campfire also signalled the time when the "Green Summer 2023" Campaign of the 2 Inter-Youth Unions was officially over. The time spent in Canh Hien Commune left the Youth Union members with unforgettable emotions. This year’s Green Summer Campaign created an opportunity for young people to gain real-world experience and love life more.
| Many meaningful activities were carried out by the Youth Union members of 2 Inter-Youth Unions in this year's campaign. They were 75 gifts with a total value of 15,000,000 VND (US$ 600) to disadvantaged school students, including 01 bicycle, 04 casio computers, 10 school bags, 300 notebooks and 2,000,000 VND (US$ 80); organizing children's activities such as holding kite-making contests and fun classes, showing school students how to turn plastic bottles into lovely flower pots, helping build a “youth flower” street, painting 20 electric poles with fresh sunflowers, showing local residents how to sort waste; cooperating with the local digital technology unit in showing local residents how to use online public services; organizing activities showing gratitude to heroes and fallen soldiers, and many sports and cultural exchanges. |
