ORA&IR - On May 14, the digital entrepreneurship skills training course for female students within the framework of the 2024 UNESCO-UNITWIN training program officially closed, ending the 15-day training course (April 30, 2024 to May 14, 2024). The training course was offered online with the participation of QNU’s 20 female students along with female students from Souphanouvong University (Laos), National University of Laos, Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia).
Digital entrepreneurship skills training course for QNU’s female students
The digital entrepreneurship skills training course provided the participants with a good knowledge of entrepreneurship based on information technology applications, start-up methods, and current business models, through which QNU’s participants divided into 5 groups discussed and designed a start-up program practical, effective and suitable to real needs. The groups designed and presented their start-up ideas in English for their software created to solve customer problems.
Having judged the contested ideas, the Organizing Committee decided that the idea called "virtual try-on clothes" app produced by a group called Cyberchic, including Le Thi My Quyen (Faculty of Finance - Banking & Business Administration), Nguyen Le Hoang Hanh (Faculty of Education), Tran Thy Van (Faculty of Natural Sciences), Le Kim Chi (Faculty of Foreign Languages) won the first prize.
Cyberchic's "virtual try-on clothes" app wins first prize
After conducting a survey, Cyberchic realized when shopping online, customers often encountered some inconveniences such as inappropriate sizes of purchases, unsatisfactory quality, complicated processes of returning purchases. Therefore, the team decided to develop a virtual fashion simulation app. The app allows users to try on virtual clothes on a 3D model customized to 80% similar to the real body. The features of skin color, hair, shape, face, etc. can be adjusted. At the same time, the app also applies a B2B business model (affiliated with retail store chains) to promote products and purchases can be made at the time of virtual try-on.
With the startup project winning the first prize at the training course, 4-member Cyberchic will be eligible to attend Seoul Hackathon (South Korea) later this year. This will be the opportunity for QNU’s female students to enjoy the experience of South Korea and go on a cultural exchange with students from the Asian countries.
The closing ceremony was attended by representatives of the Office of Research Affairs & International Relations, lecturers and students of Sookmyung Women's University, QNU’s 20 female students along with female students from Laos and Indonesian universities. |
