Leadership Skills Class’s Group 7, called Sleeping Giants, wins first prize
Based on the presentations of the student groups, the Organizing Committee highly appreciated the creative idea and awarded the first prize to the Leadership Skills Class’s Group 7, called Sleeping Giants, consisting of 3 English Language students: Pham Dang Thuy Trang, Huynh Cao Hao Nam and Nguyen Diem Le. "In the era of technology, online networking platforms have become a habit of daily use, meeting many needs of users. However, besides the benefits that the Internet brings is the problem of sexual harassment in the online space, and the victims who suffer terribly from bad influences are women. Facing the alarming situation, our group decided to research on this topic in order to find an effective way to solve the problem, in line with the development direction of society. We hope this topic will be able to help eliminate gender inequality, improve people's knowledge, build a healthy cyberspace, and protect women from negative impacts of social networks" said Nam, sharing the group's idea.
IT Class’s Group 3’s "App of Soft Robotics" won first prize
As for the IT Class, the first prize went to Group 3 - a group of 3 female students of English: Le Thi Thanh Hoa, Pham Thi Dinh, Le Nguyen Thuy Tien with a presentation on the app of robots. “Robotics has been successfully applied in many fields to serve people's lives including in healthcare, sensors. The theory of Soft Robotics seems very confusing, but it is the type of Robots that is usually made of Silicone or rubber. There are 2 reasons why these two materials are chosen to produce Soft robotics: first, they have good elasticity, heat absorption, and durable, flexible joints and second, they are widely applied in surgery in particular and medicine in general,” said Hoa.
The 2023 UNESCO UNITWIN program with the theme “Enhancing women’s status through Leadership Skills and Information Technology” left the participating students with a lot of positive impressions. “Remember that success is not only defined by winning competitions, but by the knowledge that you gain, the relationships that you build up and the positive impact you create. Your journey doesn't end here but it continues with the skills and experiences they undergo through this course to pursue their dreams. I hope that QNU and Sookmyung Women's University will continue to promote the cooperative relationship between the two universities as well as Vietnam and South Korea," said Prof. Changkyung Yoon at the closing ceremony.
