ICT - On June 26, Quy Nhon University (QNU) held a closing ceremony to award certificates to its lecturers and students who completed the training course on "Wind energy". The training course is an activity within the framework of cooperation between QNU and the PNE Group (Germany).

The PNE Group is a multinational corporation and one of the most experienced project developers in the field of renewable energy. It is currently developing the Hon Trau offshore wind farm project in Binh Dinh province, with an expected capacity of 2,000MW and a total investment of about $4.6 billion. On April 21, 2023, QNU and PNE  signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in implementing training and research activities in the field of renewable energy. The cooperation in human resource training and academic exchange in the field of renewable energy, specifically wind energy, plays an important role in grasping the needs of the labor market, meeting the needs of the society.

In this training course, 30 student attendees completed the end-of-course test with excellent results. At the closing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Tien Trung - Head of the Office of Research Affairs & International Cooperation awarded certificates of participation to the lecturers and students who attended the course.

With the theme of wind energy and practical software applications, the course brought interesting experiences, helping the attendees to equip themselves with a useful knowledge of renewable energy in general and development of the wind energy industry in particular.
