STICD - On the morning of December 6, the International Hackathon and Advanced Workshop on Information Technology and Leadership skills within the framework of the UNESCO - UNITWIN 2021 program were officially opened. This was a continuation of the online training program "Enhancing the status of women through information technology education and leadership skills" held online at Quy Nhon University for 5 days (from September 27 - October 1, 2021).
As stipulated, the best 8 female students from the training program at each university will be selected to participate in the advanced training program and the international Hackathon with partner universities in the UNITWIN network. This year's program has welcomed 37 excellent female students selected from 4 partner universities like Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia), National University of Laos, Souphanouvong University (Lao PDR) and Sookmyung Women's University (South Korea). At this program, the students will expand their understanding of information technology and leadership skills by participating in advanced training courses, exchanging ideas, and building relationships through teamwork with members from partner schools. At the end of the advanced training program, 6 project teams will present their ideas at the Hackathon. The group that has the most creative presentations, shows a lot of knowledge in the program, applies information technology skills as well as products they create that can be put in practice most will be the winner.

With an innovative and practical training program content and an extremely attractive and dramatic competition, this year's program will bring an extremely interesting and rewarding experience to all the universities and participants. This is an international joint training program to create conditions for Quy Nhon University's students to have the opportunity to experience and learn a lot of knowledge, soft skills, teamwork skills and especially to exchange in a friendly international environment with students from South Korea and some other countries.

UNITWIN was established in 1992 at the 26th session of UNESCO. The aim of this program is to build the capacity of higher education and research institutions through knowledge exchange and sharing. UNESCO appoints lead units in various multidisciplinary fields to provide a platform for cooperation among partner universities in the areas of training, research and academic exchange.
The UNESCO - UNITWIN Program is chaired by the Asia-Pacific Women's Information Network Center (APWINC) affiliated to Sookmyung Women's University with the theme "Women's Empowerment through Information Technology Skills". and leadership” was started in 2016 with the official participation of 4 universities from South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. In 2018, Quy Nhon University of Vietnam was honored to become an official member of this network. Currently, the network has 16 universities from 9 countries in Asia, Africa and Oceania.
