ICT - In order to help its lecturers gain knowledge, improve research capacity, collect and analyze data in the field of agricultural economics, Quy Nhon University (QNU) cooperated with the IUC Program Coordination Committee to organize Truong Xuan on "Quantitative research method in agricultural economics".
Experts deliver lectures on agricultural economics
Within the framework of Project 5 (IUC-QNU), Truong Xuan took place for 5 days, (March 25 to 29, 2024). With the participation of the experts from Ghent University and Antwerp University (Belgium), Truong Xuan delivered lectures on ecosystem services, choice testing methods, consumer behavior, experimental auctions and circular economy. In addition, the experts also provided QNU lecturers guidance on how to do practice and research into related issues after each lecture.

The supply chain for most fruits in Vietnam regularly faces risks such as supply - demand imbalance, price fluctuations and the effects of climate change. Those risks cause a lot of instability in the livelihoods of local farmers. Project 5 of the IUC - QNU Program aims to improve the income of local farmers and enhance the value of the dragon fruit and jujube supply chain based on the conducting of a risk assessment and management models for these local fruit supply chains. At the same time, the project also contributes to the promotion QNU's research and teaching capacity on agricultural supply chains.

Joining Truong Xuan, QNU lecturers will gain additional knowledge, improve research capacity, collect and analyze data in the field of agricultural economics, serving the implementation of Phase 1 of Project 5 (2022-2027).
