On the afternoon of February 23, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, along with universities in the southern region that offer Accounting and Auditing programs, Quy Nhon University (QNU) participated in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on the implementation of the CertIFR (International Financial Reporting) certification with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA).
At the ceremony, representing ACCA, there were Mr. Pulkit Abrol - ACCA Regional Director for Asia Pacific, Ms. Khuat Thi Lien Huong - Head of Training Division for Southeast Asia Mainland, and Ms. Pham Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau - Head of External Relations Division for Southeast Asia Mainland.
On the side of VACPA, there was Mr. Tran Khanh Lam - Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General.
Regarding the universities, the event was attended by the leaders of the following universities: Ho Chi Minh City Banking University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, Duy Tan University, University of Economics - University of Da Nang, and Quy Nhon University.

Representing Quy Nhon University at the signing ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Doan Duc Tung - Vice Rector, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tien Trung - Head of the Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation, and Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Cam Thanh - Head of the Department of Economics and Accounting.

The ceremony to extend the Memorandum of Understanding between the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Quy Nhon University (QNU) was held

In his opening speech, Mr. Pulkit Abrol - ACCA Regional Director for Asia Pacific - warmly welcomed the university leaders, expressing heartfelt appreciation for their cooperation and support throughout the time of the university leaders.
Mr. Pulkit Abrol firmly stated that the strategic cooperation between ACCA, VACPA, and the universities would signify a significant milestone through the integration and alignment of learning materials, offering practical-oriented development opportunities for students in the Accounting and Auditing field. He expressed confidence that the utilization of the internationally recognized ACCA qualification would provide students with a globally recognized education and enhance their employability upon graduation, effectively meeting the requirements of economic advancement.
After 5 years of collaboration starting in 2018, ACCA has been actively supporting Quy Nhon University in various initiatives. This includes organizing specialized courses in Accounting and Auditing for lectuers, as well as extracurricular activities and career orientation programs for students and scientific seminars.

The CertIFR (Certificate in International Financial Reporting) is a certification in international financial reporting awarded by ACCA. Attaining this certification provides students in the fields of Accounting and Auditing, as well as students in Economics more broadly, with comprehensive knowledge of international financial reporting and financial reporting standards. It enhances their competitiveness in the job market, strengthens their professional credentials, and opens up opportunities for career advancement both domestically and internationally.
As part of the collaboration with ACCA, Quy Nhon University has successfully integrated and incorporated various course components into its high-quality 
Through this collaboration, students have the opportunity to study several modules from different levels of the ACCA qualification. They receive support from ACCA in terms of learning materials and enjoy various benefits such as discounted fees for studying and taking exams, as well as the recognition of ACCA certificates for both students and lecturers.
During this signing ceremony, there were exchanges and sharing of ideas between the universities and representatives from ACCA and VACPA regarding the training of Accounting and Auditing professionals. The discussions also focused on fostering collaboration in research and developing high-quality human resources in the field of Accounting and Auditing, as well as in the broader field of Economics.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding, Quy Nhon University, ACCA, and VACPA will continue to discuss and reach consensus to ensure the effective implementation of the integration, learning, and examination processes for the CertIFR certificate and other ACCA certifications. Their goal is to achieve the desired effectiveness and outcomes of this collaboration.
This is one of the proactive collaboration activities of Quy Nhon University with international professional organizations, aimed at providing a practical educational foundation and expanding career opportunities for students in the field of Accounting and Auditing. It helps enhance their competitive advantage in the market during the era of globalization and the thriving Fourth Industrial Revolution.
