ICT - On the morning of March 9, QNU’s Center for Economics and Accounting held the opening ceremony of the Computer-based Test Center of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
QNU’s representative, head of the Economics & Accounting Center and ACCA representatives cut the ribbon to open the Computer-based Test Center at QNU’s Test Center (Lecture Hall Building A5)
ACCA's computer-based tests are administered for its foundation-level subjects. Students can enter for the tests at any time during the year and there is no limit to the number of times they can retake ACCA tests. Test-takers’ scores will be displayed on the screen right after they finish the test. After test-takers’ results are uploaded into the system, they will be transferred to test-takers's MyACCA account within 72 hours.
The opening of the computer-based test center at QNU makes it convenient for QNU students to take ACCA’s core subjects right at the University, which helps save them travel time and makes it convenient for students to pursue ACCA qualifications in accounting and business.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of QNU, emphasized that the establishment of the computer-based test center would create opportunities and favorable conditions for learners in Binh Dinh province and neighboring localities in the South Central Region and Central Highlands to pursue ACCA qualifications in Accounting, Auditing and Finance, creating advantages for those with these qualifications to get into the global labor market.

Mr. Ren Varma - ACCA Regional Director for Southeast Asia said that ACCA had established a good partnership with QNU over the years and organized many activities to support QNU’s students and lecturers such as implementing the series of "Training lecturers" program, implementing IFRS updates for students, career guidance sessions, etc. The opening of ACCA's computer-based testing center at QNU provides the opportunity to integrate ACCA's international qualifications with the University's bachelor's degrees and professional development to help prepare QNU students for successful careers in accounting and finance. This will help QNU to reach the international quality standards in teaching, learning and improve job prospects for QNU's graduates in finance, auditing and accounting.
ACCA experts talk about job opportunities for those with ACCA qualifications
To help QNU students to better learn about ACCA qualifications, the ACCA experts offered a brief overview of learning pathways and certification as well as job opportunities for those with ACCA qualifications. The participating students also raised many questions as to conditions and benefits of pursuing these qualifications and had their questions satisfactorily answered by the ACCA experts.

On this occasion, ACCA offered 100 scholarships worth 5 million VND (US$2,000) for QNU students who want to sign up for Financial Accounting courses at the Center for Economics & Accounting. The registration time is only valid from March 9, 2024 until March 12, 2024.
QNU’s Center for Economics & Accounting is assigned to offer ACCA courses and administer ACCA tests at QNU’s Computer-based Test Center.
