Many favorable conditions for Japanese language learners at QNU
Japan is one of the strategic partners of Binh Dinh province and has many Japanese enterprises investing in the local area. Therefore, proficiency in Japanese will provide students with numerous learning and working opportunities in a dynamic and competitive market. This is an opportunity for universities, including Quy Nhon University. As students majoring in Japanese studies at QNU, they not only have the chance to study with native instructors but also to learn about and research the country, people, and long-standing culture of Japan. Notably, second and third-year students majoring in Japanese studies at QNU have the opportunity to participate in paid internships in Japan (ranging from 6 to 12 months).
In addition, the University regularly organizes Japanese language training programs based on the 5-level proficiency framework from N5 to N1 and collaborates with examination centers that evaluate Japanese language proficiency according to the standards of the J Test and JLan Test for the University’s students in particular and Japanese learners in Binh Dinh and neighboring provinces in general.
The Japanese Language and Culture Center at Quy Nhon University always has policies to support QNU students learning Japanese through tuition discounts and the provision of study materials. In particular, the Center has established a library of Japanese Language and Culture to provide readers both inside and outside the university with additional resources to develop their skills in reading and translating Japanese texts and to learn about the country and people of Japan at QNU.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Hanazato Nobuhiko - Senior Advisor of the JICA Volunteer Dispatch Program, and Ms. Ishima Junko - Volunteer and Officer in Charge of the JICA Volunteer Dispatch Program.
