ICT- On the afternoon of December 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union cooperated with Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City in summing up and awarding the 23rd Student Scientific Research Prize - Euréka 2021. This is a noble award given to students across Vietnam who have interest in scientific research, contributing to promoting the movement of scientific research among university students. The ceremony was held both online and in person with video links at universities, colleges, and academies across the country, and broadcast live on the fanpage of the Euréka Science Prize in honor of the excellent research groups.
At the video link of Quy Nhon University (QNU), attending the closing ceremony were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hien - Vice Rector, Dr. Tran Nam Trung - Deputy Head of Science, Technology and International Cooperation Department, MSc. Cao Ky Nam - Secretary of QNU’s Youth Union, leaders of some faculties such as Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Education, and lecturers and the group of prize-winning students.
In 2021, the award attracted 132 universities, colleges and institutes from 32 provinces and cities nationwide with 1,251 research topics of 5,900 students and 2,030 supervisors. Especially this year, for the first time, more than 400 scientists including more than 100 lecturers from universities across the country were invited to join the panel of judges in the semi-finals. The awards were given to a total of 12 fields: chemical and pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology – biomedical, information technology, food technology, education, economy, skill, agriculture, forestry and fishery, juridical, planning, architecture and construction, natural resources and environment, social humanities.
After many exciting and serious rounds of competition, the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Council of the Award for Student Scientific Research - Euréka 2021 awarded 117 prizes with a total amount of 374 million VND (US$15,000), including 11 1st prizes, 13 second prizes, 13 third prizes and 80 consolation prizes.

The first prize in chemical and pharmaceutical technology went to a group of students from QNU with the research topic "Researching on the synthesizing of organic electrochromic materials systems oriented to making smart films" a group of students Bui Duc Ai, Nguyen Duy Dien, Nguyen Huy Hoang, Nguyen Thi Hong Linh and Duong Thi Thao under the guidance of Dr. Huynh Thi Mien Trung. On behalf of the research team, student Bui Duc Ai offered her thanks to the Organizing Committee, the Scientific Council of the Scientific Research Student Award - Euréka for creating a playground for all students who have a passion for science to have fun, experience extremely memorable and expressed her gratitude to the lecturers of QNU for supervising, encouraging and accompanying the research group during the implementation of the research.

After the closing and awards ceremony, the Tre Science and Technology Development Center (under Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union) will help introduce research projects that are highly practical to agencies and enterprises, and some technical innovation contests and programs such as the Tre Science and Technology Talent Garden.
