On the afternoon of December 8, the International Workshop on ICT-based Entrepreneurship Education within the framework of the UNITWIN program was organized online by the Asia-Pacific Women's Information Network Center (APWINC) of Sookmyung University, South Korea.

The workshop was conducted by Prof. Kyudong Kim, Director of Sookmyung University's Entrepreneurship Center with the participation of the experts from higher education institutions such as Souphanouvong University (Laos), National University (Laos), Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia) and Quy Nhon University (Vietnam).
At the conference, the experts expressed their viewpoints on the development of entrepreneurship education in their countries, shared their universities’ experience in setting up start-up support centers in universities and discussed the initiating a entrepreneurship training program that was practical, effective and suitable to the needs of the students in the region based on surveys that had been conducted previously. The goal of the workshop was to develop entrepreneurship education turning it into a real activity, creating a basis for sustainable entrepreneurship in developing countries as a driving force to promote economic development in the goal of building start-up countries as proposed.
In the context of industry 4.0, the transition from the traditional economy to the digital economy over the past decade or so has brought about positive changes in all aspects of society. Quy Nhon University always places importance on international cooperation on entrepreneurship education for its students’ benefit, and carries out its mission of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation through providing the society with human resources equipped with the necessary thinking and skills with applied research results; connecting the University with agencies and enterprises and organizing activities to provide its students with assistance such as offering professional advice, creating jobs, improving skills so that the University’s training meets society’s needs. |
