PSAO - On the morning of November 21, at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh province, the Vallet Scholarship Selection Board - Meeting Vietnam, Region 2 held a ceremony to award Vallet Scholarships 2021 to excellent school, undergraduate and doctoral students of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Phi Long, former leader of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and relevant agencies of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces. The attendees on the side of Quy Nhon University (QNU) included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Duc Tung - Vice Rector of the University and leaders of the Department of Political & Student Affairs, Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The Vallet Scholarship Fund was established for the purpose of study promotion and talent promotion. This is the largest non-governmental scholarship fund in Vietnam with the sponsorship of the Vallet Foundation and has been awarded to excellent students in Vietnam for the past two decades. In 2021, despite being greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Vallet Scholarship Fund - Meeting Vietnam has awarded 87 scholarships with a total value of 1,269 billion VND (US$50,760,000) to excellent school, undergraduate and doctoral students from Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces.
In 2021, QNU is very honored to be selected by the Vallet Scholarship Selection Board - Meeting Vietnam Region 2, to award the Vallet Scholarship 2021 to 16 students and 3 young lecturers who are doctoral students. These students have achieved outstanding achievements in learning, training and scientific research with each scholarship awarded to a school or undergraduate student worth 20 million VND (US$800) and to a young lecturer who is a doctoral student worth 32 million VND (US$1,280).
In recent years, QNU has paid great attention to developing close links between the University and enterprises and employers. QNU wishes to receive cooperation in the training of human resources from enterprises and employers to constantly improve programs, innovate teaching methods, improve its training quality to meet the needs of enterprises and society.
