Towards university autonomy, Quy Nhon University has always fostered international cooperation. This is determined to be the key direction for accelerating the internationalization of the University, increasing the management capacity, research and quality of the lecturer, technology transfer, contributing to the improvement of the quality of training and consolidating the University’s status in the integration period.
The University attaches great importance to the development of close cooperation in training and research with all universities, organizations and research institutions around the world. A lot of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) on bilateral and multilateral cooperation in training and research have been signed and are being implemented effectively between Quy Nhon University and prestigious universities from Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Laos, etc. Thanks to this, the University’s lecturers and students have the opportunity to expand their knowledge as well as get access to advanced educational and research environment in the world.
Currently, the University has a staff of about 900, over 15,000 students; 46 undergraduate programs, 17 master's and 3 doctoral programs in various disciplines such as natural sciences, social sciences, engineering, economics, finance. In the development strategy of the university, the trend of internationalization of higher education, Quy Nhon University attaches great importance to the development of the quality of lecturers, scientific researchers and study groups. Based on a team of young talented researchers who have been trained in European and Asian countries with a strong scientific background, the University is orienting to cooperating in building and training at undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels based on international advanced programs in English.
Quy Nhon University is a large public university of Central Vietnam - Central Highlands with the mission of training and developing high-quality human resources; fostering talents, conducting scientific research, disseminating knowledge and facilitaing technology transfer to serve effectively the sustainable development of the country in general and the South Central Region and Central Highlands in particular. Quy Nhon University has received a lot of funding for capacity-increasing and research projects from international organizations such as the European Commission, the VLIR-UOS, the Belgian Development Authority (BTC), the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) South Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), FHI360 (USA), etc. Thanks to this, the University’s prestige is enhanced in the region and the world. In addition, Quy Nhon University has been promoting the organization of international scientific conferences and seminars to enhance exchanges and cooperation with prestigious scientists and organizations. Many researches and scientific articles have been published in prestigious journals both at home and abroad.
The University is closely linked to the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE Quy Nhon) in scientific research, the expansion of international cooperation. To date, the University has established comprehensive partnerships with partners in the European Commission, Southeast Asia, and East Asia.
With enormous academic potential and a large number of students together with the maximum support from the Ministry of Education and Training and Binh Dinh People's Committee, Quy Nhon University is expected to be the pioneer in the process of internationalizing higher education. To achieve that goal, the University wishes to continue welcoming new partners in international cooperation. The University calls for universities, research institutes and international organizations to continue to seek new opportunities for cooperation in training, scientific research, technology transfer and cultural exchange.
