INTRODUCTION TO THE DIVISION OF ACCOUNTING
1. History of Formation and Development
The Division of Economics and Business Administration was established in 2002, along with the establishment of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
In 2005, the Division of Economics and Business Administration was divided into two Divisions: the Division of Accounting and the Division of Business Administration under the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration.
By 2009, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration was divided to establish the Faculty of Economics & Accounting, along with the Faculty of Finance - Banking and Business Administration. At that time, the Division of Financial Accounting was established under the Faculty of Economics & Accounting.
By 2020, the Division of Financial Accounting was restructured and renamed as the Division of Accounting under the Faculty of Economics and Accounting.
2. Training Objectives
The Division of Accounting is responsible for teaching accounting courses for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Accounting and Auditing, as well as for other majors such as Finance and Banking, Business Administration, Economics, etc.

4. Main Research Directions of the Division
The faculty members of the Division of Accounting are currently conducting in-depth research on various topics related to the field, such as International Accounting Standards framework, Vietnamese Accounting Standards framework, the application of Vietnamese accounting standards and regulations, managerial accounting, cost accounting, public sector accounting, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and corporate social responsibility reporting.
Additionally, the Division is also engaged in interdisciplinary research in areas including:
Development of software applications for enterprise management activities, including management information systems, computerized financial accounting (ERP, COBIT), banking technology management, human resource management, sales management, etc.
Financial reporting and disclosure, including financial reporting disclosures, financial statement auditing, profit management, corporate social responsibility reporting, etc.
Accountability in the public sector, focusing on the role of leadership, stakeholder engagement, public financial management, financial transparency, etc.
Performance measurement systems, including leadership styles, employee engagement, organizational culture, operational efficiency, etc.
5. Research Achievements
The faculty members of the Division of Accounting have been actively involved in research projects at various levels and have published numerous textbooks and research papers in reputable domestic and international scientific journals. Some notable achievements include:
