ICT - The digital transformation revolution is going strong with the penetration of digital technology in all aspects of life, economy and society. The development of new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, internet of things (IoT), etc., are directly affecting large enterprises in many fields. Different businesses and businesses are really in need of using human resources that require high mathematical thinking and qualifications, especially in mathematical applications in industry.
With the above context, on the afternoon of June 11, 2011, the Vietnam - US Mathematical Conference 2019, the Institute for Advanced Studies in Mathematics (VIASM) in collaboration with Quy Nhon University (QNU) and the Big Data Research Institute under the Group Vingroup ̣̣ (VINBDI) organized the Forum of "Math in Industry."
QNU was very honored to welcome Prof. John Birge, Prof. Ngo Bao Chau, Prof. Vu Ha Van with scientists, managers and policy makers on Education and Training, Science and Technology; leaders of higher education institutions and research institutes; leaders of corporations, technology, engineering, insurance, finance and banking enterprises, etc.; lecturers and students, postgraduate students in basic science, engineering, technology, economics, insurance, banking, accounting, etc.; high school students and those interested to the Forum.

Prof. Dr. Do Ngoc My, Rector of QNU sincerely thanked the initiative of the Organizing Committee for connecting in the 2019 Vietnam - US Mathematics Conference Program a very meaningful and topical forum and expressed his desire for the spread of the public lecture and for the forum to have a positive effect, achieving the goal as expected! QNU is promoting the advantages of a multidisciplinary higher education institution and taking the advantage of basic science, especially mathematics and information technology as the foundation for its training and scientific research fields. This difference is an important condition to ensure that QNU students will have many opportunities to find jobs and develop their careers sustainably in the future.

QNU is aiming for a modern training and research environment according to the general trend of the world, ready to attract and connect educational, training and research institutes, businesses, experts, PhD students and fellows, both at home and abroad.
The Forum "Math For Industry" held at this time at QNU was considered as a trigger to promote the University's strategic direction to enlist the golden opportunity created by the Industrial revolution 4.0, which aimed to create global intellectual products. This would contribute effectively to the sustainable development of the country in general and the South Central and Central Highlands regions in particular.
