Center for SA & ER - On the afternoon of May 8, 2020, Quy Nhon University received the leadership of VietnamControl Inspection - Fumigation Joint-Stock Company, who came to award a grant for the building of automatic hand sanitizers used to serve the community.
Attending the grant-awarding ceremony were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hien, Deputy Rector of Quy Nhon University, representatives of some related units together with the team of automatic hand sanitizer-building, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Member of the Board of Directors of VietnamControl and the leader of the Central Vietnam-based Branch of VietnamControl.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hien highly appreciated the efforts put by the staff and lecturers of the Department of Engineering and Technology into building the automatic hand sanitizer, becoming one of the first units in Vietnam to make this device. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hien thanked VietnamControl for its interest and grant, thanks to which the product would soon come into common use, contributing to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Luyen, lecturer of the Department of Science & Technology, leader of the automatic hand sanitizer-building team, talked about the process of forming the idea and the team’s success in building the device. He thanked the leadership of Quy Nhon University for their interest, the Center for Student Association & Enterprise Relations in helping facilitate cooperation with businesses, which helped the device quicly come into common use and expressed hope that in the future the Department would continue to receive support from the University and VietnamControl.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Khanh, Manager of the Center for Student Association & Enterprise Relations, a unit representing the University in the cooperation with businesses to seek funding, appreciated the support of VietnamControl given to the University in recruiting trainees, providing practice sites, helping build skill-training programs for students as well as providing financial support for some of the University’s “for the community” projects. Mr. Nguyen Khac Khanh believed that in the future the University would promote cooperation with VietnamControl in many fields.
On behalf of the sponsor, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha highly appreciated Quy Nhon University's effort made to build the automatic hand sanitizer to serve the community. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha was honored to see that VietnamControl had cooperated with the University in the implementing of “for the community” projects and expressed hope that the cooperation between the University and the company would continue to be fostered in the future.
After the ceremony, the University would direct some of the University’s relevant units to cooperate with VietnamControl in the installing of 20 automatic hand sanitizers in some hospitals and schools in Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces.
