YU&SA: In order to show Quy Nhon University (QNU)'s care as well as the spirit of mutual love to students, on the evening of December 8, 2020, QNU’s Youth Union and Student Association organized an informal meeting to give gifts to some students whose families were badly affected by floods in the Central region in 2020.
Attending the meeting, on the side of the Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union, were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union and on the side of QNU, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hien - Vice Rector, Cao Ky Nam MSc - Secretary of the Youth Union, cum Student Union President and members of the Standing Committee of the Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Student Union.
During the meeting, the Organizing Committee awarded 49 gifts worth 1,000,000 VND ($US 42) each to some students whose families were badly affected by floods and storms in Central Vietnam. Previously, the Youth Union of QNU had transferred 15,000,000 million VND ($US 625) to the Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union to help flood-stricken people in the Central region. This is a meaningful activity of QNU in order to help students to overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters.

Giving gifts to flood-stricken students
In addition, QNU’s Youth Union and Student Association summed up and awarded the Video Contest "One challenging Volunteer Day 2020". This was a video volunteer contest held by QNU’s Youth Union in the context the Covid-19 pandemic was raging in 2020. The Organizing Committee selected 6 content prizes and 19 voted ones. The contest results were as follows: as for the video content, the first prize went to the Vanguard Youth team of the Faculty of Economics & Accounting with the “rescuing of 20 tons of watermelon for farmers in 2020 and as for the voted video, the first prize was awarded to the 2017 Class B Student Association of Law with the collecting of plastic waste in Vung Chua mountain and the making of a donation to disadvantaged people.

Helping disadvantaged students is a traditional meaningful activity conducted annually by QNU. QNU always tries its best to help its students and create favorable conditions for them to study with their minds at ease.
