On November 28, 2020, Quy Nhon University (QNU) held a conference to sum up the emulation movement and offer praise for outstanding students for the 2019-2020 academic year. The conference were attended by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hien, Vice Rector, leaders of the Student Association, departments, units and excellent students of the university.
Speaking at the Conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hien affirmed that the university always created favorable conditions and gave attention to the students’ participation in emulation activities. In the new period, students need to raise their entrepreneurial awareness, creativity, and clearly define the motivation to study. At the same time, he also expressed the hope that students would try harder to promote the learning movement in the university.

In the academic year 2019 - 2020, the whole university had 11,195 students, of which 65 were ranked excellent, 826 very good, 1,609 good. Students had a good sense of obeying the rules and regulations made by the university. In terms of self-improvement, out of a total of 11,195 students, 1,276 students ranked excellent (12.29%); 6,465 students very good (57.74%); 2,294 students good (20.49%); 527 students average (4.7%). The rest were ranked poor.
In the academic year 2019 - 2020, 251 students conducted scientific research with 68 projects. Of these, 20 projects were awarded the university-level prizes (5 first, 8 second and 7 third prizes). Out of the 5 projects submitted to be processed for the Student Scientific Research Prize, 1 project was selected to the final round and 2 projects to the final round of the 2020 Student Scientific Research Award - Euréka.

At the conference, QNU praised and rewarded 11 collectives, 14 individuals, 69 excellent monitors and 311 excellent students. The Conference on summing up the emulation movement and offering praise for outstanding students in the academic year 2019 - 2020 is an annual event held by QNU to sum up and evaluate the achievements of the emulation movement among students, set out plans and tasks for the new academic year. At the same time, it is an occasion to offer praise and reward outstanding groups and individuals in learning and self-improvement, which helps to promote exemplary groups and individuals, lift the spirit of overcoming difficulties, help students to have motivation to study and improve themselves.
