DSTIC - Towards university autonomy, Quy Nhon University (QNU) has continuously strengthened international cooperation, identifying this as a spearhead direction to accelerate the internationalization of the university, improving governance and research capacity, the quality of lecturers, technology transfer, contributing to improving the quality of training and strenghtening the position of the University in the integration period.
QNU always focuses on developing deep cooperation in training and research with all universities, organizations and research institutes in the world. Many memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) on bilateral and multilateral cooperation in training and research have been signed and effectively implemented by QNU and famous universities in many countries such as Belgium and France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Laos. Thanks to this, QNU’s lecturers and students have many opportunities to expand their knowledge as well as get access to an advanced research and educational environment in the world.
Currently, QNU has a staff of about 750 lecturers and over 14,000 students and runs 46 undergraduate programs, 21 master's programs and 3 doctoral programs in different scientific fields such as natural sciences, social sciences and humanities , engineering, economics, finance, administration, etc. In its development strategy and internationalization trend, QNU focuses on developing the quality of lecturers, research groups and leading scientific research. On the basis of a contingent of capable young lecturers trained in European and Asian countries with developed science, QNU aims to build cooperation programs at undergraduate, master and doctoral levels up to international standards.
As a large public university in the Central region - Central Highlands with the mission of training and developing high-quality human resources, fostering talents, doing scientific research, disseminating knowledge and transferring technology, to effectively serve the country's sustainable development in general and the South Central Coast - Central Highlands in particular, QNU has received a lot of funding for capacity-building and research projects from international organizations such as the European Commission, Organization for University Development Cooperation (VLIR-UOS), the Belgian Development Agency (BTC), World Academy of Science (TWAS), Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST); FHI360 (USA). Through these projects, QNU’s reputation has been enhanced in the region and the world. In addition, QNU has been promoting the organization of international scientific conferences and seminars to enhance exchanges and cooperation with . prestigious scientists and organizations. Many research projects and scientific articles have been published in prestigious national and international journals.
QNU is closely linked with the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) in organizing regional and international conferences and seminars. This cooperative relationship has enhanced, expanded and diversified its international cooperation, especially connecting world-renowned scientists in training cooperation and scientific research in general and basic science in particular. Up to now, QNU has gained comprehensive cooperation with partners of the European Commission, Southeast Asia and East Asia.
With a long history, academic capacity and potential, a large number of students and its geo-political position, with the maximum support from the Ministry of Education and Training as well as Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, QNU is expected to be a leader in the internationalization of universities in the central region and the country. To achieve this goal, QNU always welcomes universities, research institutes, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, etc. to come and explore opportunities for cooperation with QNU in training, scientific research, technology transfer and cultural exchange.
